XMP is technically an overclock. Just because the RAM says 3600MHz doesn't mean your CPU controller can handle it.

Work through these checks.

01Check if RAM is in the correct slots (usually A2/B2)
02Check the exact model’s firmware guidance; do not update firmware as an automatic first step. Protect data and recovery keys, and use reliable power if an update is actually indicated.
03Try enabling XMP but manually lowering speed one step
04Verify your CPU supports that memory speed
